Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
Wallpad is designed to respect your privacy. It has no user accounts, shows no ads, and does not track you. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information on your device.
The short version
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
- There are no accounts to create and no analytics tracking your usage.
- Camera-based motion detection runs entirely on your device; no images ever leave it.
- The web page you display is loaded directly by your device, just like a browser.
Camera & motion detection
If you enable Wake on Movement, Wallpad uses the front camera to detect motion in the room. This processing happens entirely on your device at a low frame rate. Individual frames are compared to detect movement and are then discarded immediately. Wallpad does not record, save, upload, or share any images or video, and no camera data ever leaves your device. If you do not enable this mode, the camera is not used at all.
The web content you display
Wallpad loads the web page you choose directly from its source, using the system web engine. Any data you enter into that page, and any cookies or logins it uses, are handled by that website under its own privacy policy, not by Wallpad. We do not inspect, log, or transmit your browsing activity.
Purchases
The free trial and one-time unlock are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Wallpad does not receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is verified through Apple's on-device StoreKit framework.
Data we collect
None. Wallpad does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We have no servers that receive your data.
Children's privacy
Wallpad does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
